Welcome to the Early Support website

Early Support is for families with young disabled children. It is the Government’s recommended approach to co-ordinating services across England.

This website is for anyone who works regularly with very young children and for families. It explains how the Early Support programme is facilitating better coordination of information and service delivery in response to the objectives set by the Government green paper Every Child Matters. The programme is funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families through Sure Start and has been developed in conjunction with the Department of Health and the voluntary sector.

Early Support was confirmed as the mainstream approach to achieve integrated service delivery for families and children in the recent report from the Treasury and the Department for Education and Skills, Aiming high for disabled children: better support for families. Find out more in our news pages.
